Ciudad de 聲geles, Inc.


Ciudad de 聲geles, Inc. has limited assignments for USA citizens (paid and volunteer, domestic and in Mexico). Because our mission goal is to raise the children in their native culture, we employ only Mexican nationals for child care and support roles in Cozumel. This philosophy also means Ciudad de 聲geles does not have interns or other permanent volunteer roles, onsite in Mexico. 

In addition, there are considerable legal risks and liabilities, both to the individual and the children's home, of working in a foreign country and especially in the sensitive area of child services.  Ciudad de 聲geles, Inc. has chosen to minimize our exposure to these risks.

The current assignments that are available to USA citizens include:

  • INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS (Cozumel, Mexico)

    • American Director
      Provides general management oversight and implements the strategy, onsite at the home in Mexico.
      Paid, independent contractor, fulltime in Mexico.
      Incumbent: Dennis Wilson

  • Manager of Physical Resources
    Responsible for the development of the property and maintaining the facilities of the home.
    Paid, independent contractor, fulltime in Mexico.
    Incumbent: Michael Campbell
     

  • DOMESTIC ASSIGNMENTS

    • President & Member of the Board of Directors
      Provides general executive oversight for the Board, strategic and financial development.
      Paid, part time position.
      Incumbent: Gary Gardner

    • Secretary & Member of the Board of Directors
      Provides administrative support.
      Volunteer position.
      Incumbent: Nancy Gardner

    • Treasurer & Member of the Board of Directors
      Provides accounting and financial oversight.
      Volunteer position.
      Incumbent: Susie Winnett

    • Members of the Board of Directors
      Provide strategic oversight.
      Volunteer position.

    • Mission Team Coordinators
      Provide liaison and communication between Ciudad de 聲geles and visiting mission teams.
      Volunteer position.
